Whistleblowers send open letter to Obama, Congress on Protections Act

The Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act of 2010 passed the House and Senate in December, but at the last minute was put on “hold” by an anonymous Congressperson. Today, in honor of the Fourth of July, 30  whistleblowers sent an open letter to President Obama and Congress in an effort to get the legislation, which provided  incentives for federal workers to put make protected disclosures to their superiors, Congress or the public. Those who work at borders, airports and nuclear facilities, as well as law enforcement agencies such as the FBI, would be among those covered.
