UPDATE: On November 21, 2022, FAC responded to the Sheriff’s refusal to disclose the requested records with a letter explaining that based on depositions from a lawsuit about the incident, it was clear that deputy sheriffs caused great bodily injury. See that letter here.
After reviewing our second letter, the Sheriff’s Department agreed to release the requested records, which are available here.
On Aug. 17, 2022, FAC sent a letter to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department demanding the release of records related to a 2019 incident.
