In retaliation for being sued by a major karaoke distributor in California federal court for disrupting the karaoke marketplace, Sony/ATV went to Nashville to sue KTS Karaoke for copyright infringement.
Sony/ATV wants greater compensation in a complicated system of multiple rights and forms of payments but is now suing for damages, an injunction and a recall of all karaoke CDs so they may be destroyed. -db

The Sony/ATV legal team seems to have forgotten the case law surrounding Copyright Misuse.
Sony/ATV would seem to be using their copyrights in a manner that violates the public policy embodied in the grant of a copyright.
Sony/ATV should consider the consequences of using their copyrights to go beyond the protection of the copyright laws.
