The announcement came Wednesday morning during a Kern High School District trustee meeting. This comes after the district announced a few weeks ago that it plans to lay off 20 other positions because of boundary changes.
A spokesman from the California School Employees Union said the board did not give it 24 hours notice of the exact positions that are being laid off. The union plans to file a police report against the district, because it claims that the move violates the Brown Act.
