Supreme Court to hear Boston Christian flag case

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear the case of a man denied the privilege of flying a Christian flag during an event on the City Hall Plaza. The man sued saying the city violated his First Amendment rights by content discrimination, allowing non-secular flags but not secular ones. The federal appeals court ruled that the flag pole was not a public forum so that the city could select the views it wanted to air. (ABA Journal, October 1, 2021, by Debra Cassens Weiss)
