University of California report recommending regulation of speech sparks heated debate

A UC report written after an investigation of the experiences of Jewish, Muslim and Arab students on campus is being criticized by faculty and students  who believe that the recommendations to regulate hate speech, define anti-Semitism and ban “offensive activities” should be rejected as infringements on free speech rights. -db
