Victory for transparency in Kushner business dealings

A federal district judge ruled that public interest in obtaining judicial records in a lawsuit involving Jared Kushners’ business dealings in Maryland were of greater importance than his company’s privacy rights. The judge found that Kushner Cos. did not succeed in showing a “compelling government interest” needed to block public access to the judicial records. Even though Kushner sold most of his shares in the business and resigned as Kushner CEO, he still owns shares of Westminster Management. (The Hill, January 27, 2018, by Julia Manchester)
