Domestic spying: ACLU files FIOA request for details of ‘cell tower dumps’

The American Civil Liberties Union wants some answers about how federal agencies collect information through cell towers, the standards governing the collection and how the information is used.  The ACLU filed a Freedom of Information Act request March 27 with a list of agencies that included the FBI, DEA and Secret Service. Enforcement agencies across the country have been using cell tower technology but have not been transparent about it.
