Victors in Los Angeles free speech lawsuit get $2

The two men who sued the Los Angeles City Council over violations of  their free speech rights prevailed in federal court only to gain $2 in damages. The judge ruled that the city violated the First Amendment in  ejecting the men from council meetings and temporarily banning them from speaking at the meetings but ruled that the men suffered no “actual injury.” The city contended that by making “personal, impertinent, unduly repetitive, slanderous or profane remarks,” the men disrupted the meetings.
