California: Lobbying delays hearing on Internet privacy bill

Prominent tech companies have succeeded in delaying a bill allowing Californians the right to know how the tech firms, banks and other enterprises are using their personal information. If passed, the proposed law, “Right to Know Act of 2013,” is expected to extend beyond California by forcing businesses beyond its borders to comply.
