Ecuador’s foreign minister said his country granted asylum to WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange. Assange fled to the Ecuadorian embassy in London while waiting extradition to Sweden to face sex assault charges.
The British government said it was legally bound to extradite Assange. -db
