    I need to know if there are any acts, like the Brown or Public records acts, that govern youth sports leagues. My daughters play for a league that has closed meetings and meetings that nobody knows about.

    City Planning Commission failure to address public comment

    Can finalists for city jobs be kept secret?

    Is their any state law allowing the city to keep the names of an advisory committee recommending finalists for a governmental job secret?  Our city manager came up with a secret panel to help select finalists for police chief and then refused to reveal their names until their work was done.

    Closed door assessor appointment – possible Brown Act violation

    I believe an individual was appointed County assessor unfairly through an exchange wherein the newly appointed assessor promised the supervisor board he would not run for mayor. I am seeking record of this agreement; I believe it could be in violation of the Brown Act, please advise.
