    As a public non profit corporation that’s primary purpose is to support the public elementary school are we required to comply with the Brown Act? Does having the Principal of the school on the executive board have any bearing on complying with the Brown Act?

    Is a quorum required for presentations?

    There's some confusion about whether the county Mental Health Board is violating the Brown Act by receiving information when it doesn't have a quorum. Can the board have discussions and receive presentations, but not take formal action, when a quorum isn't present?

    How Do I Address Agency’s Failure to Honor Brown Act Meeting Notification Deadlines?

     Does the Brown Act apply to city council appointed committees?  If it does, how is a city supposed to conduct the necessary extended deliberations critical to producing good decisions regarding (among other things) public services and expenditures of public funds?

An advisory committee comprised of 30 teachers and district administrators reviewed graduation requirements and compiled a report and recommendation to the Board.  Since no community members or parents were included on the committee, or notified of its existence, was this a violation of the Brown Act?
