SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The First Amendment Coalition is pleased to welcome Juniper Licinio as a legal fellow.
Juniper graduated from the University of California, Irvine School of Law in 2023. Prior to law school, she received her undergraduate degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
Previously, Juniper worked as a Staff Attorney for Inland Counties Legal Service’s Systemic Impact Litigation Team, where she focused on landlord-tenant law and the rights of LGBTQIA+ students in public schools. She also served as a Hellman Fellow at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, focusing on drafting amicus briefs and research memos on First Amendment law.
“We are delighted that Juniper will help FAC defend free speech and open government in California,” says FAC’s Legal Director, David Loy.
Juniper joins FAC’s litigation team as it expands its work increasing access to public records and government meetings, and defending freedom of speech and freedom of the press. She will draft amicus briefs and advocacy letters, help operate FAC’s free Legal Hotline, and assist with FAC attorneys’ litigation.
Juniper is licensed to practice in the state of California.
