CFAC’s Gullixson is Press Democrat’s new editorial director
Paul Gullixson, CFAC Board President from 2005 through 2007, has been named editorial director of the Press Democrat, the New York Times-owned daily newspaper in Santa Rosa. Gullixson, who had been assistant editorial director since 1998, succeeded Pete Golis, who, although retired from the director position, will continue to write a bi-weekly column for the newspaper.
Before moving to Santa Rosa, Gullixson was Peninsula Bureau Chief for the San Francisco Chronicle. Prior to that he was editor of the Palo Alto Weekly and editorial page editor of the Peninsula Times Tribune. Gullixson has been a CFAC Board member since 2000. In 2007 he was also state coordinator for “Sunshine Week.”
