Publishers challenge Florida school book banning law

Major U.S. publishers sued Florida for its law prohibiting sexual content in school libraries which they claim resulted in widespread book banning violating the First Amendment. Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster and Harper Collins are among the publishers who filed the lawsuit in federal court claiming students have the right to read books free from unconstitutional content-based restrictions mandated by the State of Florida.
