Lawsuit proceeds against Fauci, Biden administration for suppressing free speech

A federal judge approved the discovery phase in a lawsuit two state attorneys general filed in May against Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, other Biden administration officials and five social media companies for their alleged suppression of free speech relating to COVID-19. The lawsuit by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry accused the Biden administration with colluding with social media companies to suppress freedom of speech, speech that the administration considered “disinformation.” (The Defender, July 21, 2022, by Megan Redshaw)
