Golden Globes: Meryl Streep slams Trump in defending press

Actor Meryl Streep used the occasion of her Golden Globes award for lifetime achievement to make an impassioned plea for defending the press.  “We need the principled press to hold power to account,” said Streep. (The New York Times, January 8, 2017, by Daniel Victor and Giovanni Russonello)
