Sign ordinance: U.S. Supreme Court affirms free speech rights

In refusing to review a case over a St. Louis sign ordinance, the U.S. Supreme Court scored one for the First Amendment, allowing a man to display a 360 foot mural with a political message: “End eminent domain abuse.”

The city  had ordered the man to remove the mural on the grounds it violated size restrictions under the city’s sign ordinance. -db
