Opinion: Agency proposal threatens integrity of information about fish population

A proposal by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration would force the public to obtain information about the health of fisheries from private fishing companies rather than from the third-party observers contracted by the government.

The move would seriously compromise the accuracy and integrity of the data since the fishing companies have an incentive to underreport their catches, argues OMB Watch. -db
